CPD Activities for Psychologists, Psychometrists, & Registered Counsellors

PsychologySA provides a complete Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Programme for Psychologists and Social Workers. We are fully accredited with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). As of 1 January 2007, all healthcare professionals are required to obtain 30 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) per annum with a total of at least 60 for every 2-year period.

Additionally, 6 Ethics CEUs should form part of the required 30 per annum. Therefore, practitioners may either select particular modules or choose to complete a full curriculum of 10 modules (totalling 3 CEUs each) needed to accrue their full quota of 30 CEUs (including 6 CEUs for ethics).
